A comparison of Tamiya's TL-01 and TB-01

Which is which?

The facts:

TL-01 is on the left; TB-01 is on the right. The TB-01 offers, among other things, oil-filled shocks with softer rally-friendly springs which can be moved to adjust ride height, tension, etc.

In this photo you can see difference in front suspensions. The rear suspensions differ between the TL-01 and the TB-01 accordingly.

In this overhead view you can see the design and layout of both cars. The TB-01, right, has its protective weatherproof cover in place.

Same overhead view, but TB-01's inner cover has been partially removed. Note differences between the two chassis: placement and orientation of battery, placement and orientation of motor, placement and orientation of steering servo, etc.

Undersides of the cars - TB-01 on the left, TL-01 on the right. Note TB-01's countersunk screws, and motor ventilation hole covered with black duct tape.

The TB-01's well-sealed chassis allows for operation in wet environments, as evidenced by this photo of the snow-covered inner body.
